Team Day 5- December 31

We gathered up all of the donation clothes the team collected before coming down here and headed out to a village called Nuevo Oriental. This is the first village I went to in Honduras so I love it there! We set up a clothing 'sale' in a building used as a feeding center there. Having our whole team here, the set up went quickly and smoothly which was wonderful because the crowd started just minutes after seeing a huge group of 'gringos' coming in. Of course, we took the opportunity to laugh at some of the clothes donated..

As the clothing sale went on and things seemed to be under control inside a few of us went out to play with a large group of kids gathered around. This was definitely the best part of the day for me! Especially meeting one little girl named Elvia who didn't stray too far and asked when we'd come back when I told her we had to leave.

After spending most of the day at the village we headed over to visit the Mi Esperanza shop.
You should all take a minute to check out their site. They are a really awesome organization!
We then headed to Valle de Angeles (Valley of the Angels) and did a little 'authentic Honduran' shopping around there. My favorite part during these types of activities is just getting to spend some extra time with some of my favorite little Hondurans!
